The movie Dragonheart begins in the kingdom of Carthya is ruled by King Einon, a cruel and selfish ruler. The old dragon, Draco, had given the king his heart in exchange for the promise that Einon would create a better world. In the kingdom of Carthya, a young man named Bowen is a dragon slayer for hire. He is hired by Kara, the daughter of the late King Gareth, to kill the dragon, Draco. Bowen agrees to kill the dragon and sets out on his quest with his faithful companion, Draco the dragon. Along the way, the two develop a strong bond and Bowen starts to doubt his mission.

Bowen eventually comes to understand and accept the dragon, and instead of killing him, he helps him fight against Einon’s tyranny. With the help of a powerful wizard, they assemble an army and fight Einon’s forces. In the end, Bowen and Draco are successful in defeating Einon and restoring order to the kingdom. Bowen is also reunited with Kara, who helps him restore the kingdom to its former glory.
