Dear Mom and Dad,
I understand that you have always been there for me, guiding me through tough decisions and helping me make the right choices. I appreciate all that you have done for me and I’m grateful for all the support you have given me.
However, I’m now an adult and feel that it is time for me to take my decisions independently. I know you will always be there to support and advise me, but I think it is important for me to learn to make my own decisions and be responsible for them.
I hope you understand and respect my decision. I love you both very much and I’m always here if you need me.
Love,
Your daughter/son
