You can use the following formula in Google Sheets to change certain cells: =INDEX(A1:A10, MATCH(B1, A1:A10, 0)).
This formula works by first selecting a range of cells (A1:A10 in this example) and then matching the value in cell B1 with the values in the range of cells. If a match is found, the formula returns the index of that value in the range of cells.
For example, if B1 contains the value “Apple” and A1:A10 contains the values “Apple”, “Banana”, “Cherry”, “Date”, etc., the formula would return the value “1”, as “Apple” is the first item in the range of cells.
You can use this formula to make changes to certain cells in Google Sheets. For example, if you wanted to change the value of the cell C1 to “Apple” if the value in B1 is “Apple”, you could use the following formula: =IF(B1=”Apple”, “Apple”, C1).
This formula checks if the value in B1 is “Apple”. If it is, it sets the value of the cell C1 to “Apple”; if not, it leaves the value of C1 as it is.
You can formula to change multiple cells in Google Sheets. For example, if you wanted to change the values of the cells C1, D1 and E1 to “Apple” if the value in B1 is “Apple”, you could use the following formula: =IF(B1=”Apple”, “Apple”, C1, D1, E1).
This formula checks if the value in B1 is “Apple”. If it is, it sets the values of the cells C1, D1 and E1 to “Apple”; if not, it leaves the values of those cells as they are.
