Rules of Boggle Word Game
Boggle is a popular word game in which players attempt to find as many words as possible from a grid of 16 randomly selected letters in a 4×4 grid. Players have 3 minutes to find as many words as they can, by connecting letters together in any order. The longer the word, the more points it’s worth.
Kids Boggle Rules
In the Kids Boggle version, the board is a 3×3 grid and players must find words that are 3 letters or more. Players have 2 minutes to find as many words as they can.
Adult Boggle Rules
In the Adult Boggle version, the board is a 4×4 grid and players must find words that are 4 letters or more. Players have 3 minutes to find as many words as they can.
General Rules
- Words must be connected by adjacent letters – each letter must be next to the one before it.
- Each letter can only be used once in a word.
- Proper nouns are not allowed.
- No words that are plural, past tense, or hyphenated are allowed.
- Only words found in a standard dictionary are allowed.
