Vaccines Required for Infants
Infants are particularly vulnerable to certain diseases, and so it is important to make sure they are up-to-date on their vaccinations. The following vaccines are recommended for infants:
- Hepatitis B
- Rotavirus
- DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis)
- Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b)
- PCV (pneumococcal conjugate vaccine)
- IPV (inactivated poliovirus vaccine)
- Influenza (flu)
It is important to talk to your doctor to make sure your child is up-to-date on all recommended vaccines. It is also important to make sure that your child is not getting any vaccines that he or she does not need.
